Frozen Garden

West Garden in Winter

West Garden in Winter

I’ve started the 2013 garden season as usual with indoor propagation of summer annuals by a sunny window.  Spring is a long way off though and it’s important to enjoy the winter too!  Here is a YouTube slide-show of the garden in winter dress;

    One of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen on the web. I often come to see the different videos anytime, and enjoy it almost as if I were in the place itself. Seeing the garden all frozen is also interesting, when thinking that in a few weeks (monthes ?) it will take its flowered dress. I do like every flower, bush, corner, shape, colour, fence, feature, bench of the garden. Absolute good taste and very elegant achievements + wonderful pics, videos & music. So inspiring ! Thanks for showing it and explaining.

    Thank you for your very flattering comments Marine, I’m so pleased that you’ve enjoyed my website. I wanted the garden to have year round interest and not be just a summer garden – the growing season is only about 6 months here! The contrast between high summer and deep winter is dramatic and I get great pleasure from the garden’s strong, formal skeleton during the darker months.
